Afternoon tea
British people like to enjoy a cup of tea in the afternoon. However on special occasions the people enjoy tea with a selection of sweet and savoury snacks in the afternoon. This is called Afternoon tea. Tea is served with milk and sugar in a china cup. There are scones with clotted cream, jam and butter. Also little sandwiches called ‘finger sandwiches’, often with cucumber, cream cheese and salmon. There are always some small cakes too!
